The Lynches River Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting of Members will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at the cooperative office at 707 S. Arant St., Pageland.
Registration and voting will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 11 a.m. There will be an election for the District 5 board seat between incumbent Scott Croxton and petitioner Mark Bridges. Only members with an active account in District 5 are eligible to vote. You can find your district number after your member number on your registration card or on your electric bill.
The day will also include musical entertainment by Jefferson native Brandon Cato from 9-11 a.m., health fair, children's games, Touch-A-Truck, craft vendors, face painting, balloon artist, truck raffle, electrical safety demonstration and door prizes. Free popcorn will be included for everyone. Hamburgers, hot dogs and more will be for sale throughout the day.
The business meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. Co-op officials will present a report on the business of the cooperative, and the election results will be announced. Drawings for prizes and the truck raffle will be held following the business meeting. You must be present to win a prize, except for the truck raffle.
Please bring your registration card and a photo ID to the meeting to vote, ensure a fast registration, and be eligible to win a prize. Look for your registration card located on the front cover of the October issue of South Carolina Living magazine.
