Powering the American Spirit

NRECA, the national association for over 900 rural electric coopratives, is coordinating a new nationwide effort to give cooperatives a tool to influence pending federal climate change regulations and to get the message out that rural communities have done their part for clean, affordable energy.

As part of this effort, NRECA launched with a new video, "Powering the American Spirit." The video is narrated by the new NRECA CEO, Jo Ann Emerson, and highlights the electric co-op service mission and our great story of leadership and innovation in areas like energy efficiency., a new grass roots effort, lets people sign up for future alerts on important issues.

Climate change is one of the main issues co-ops are discussing with House and Senate leaders. This video raises a flag early in the climate debate, asking for consideration of the concerns of everyday people. Please sign up and help us get this message out to our communties.
